[Video] Set your 30 Day Challenge and Be a Winner

Hi there,

Today’s post is all about setting goals and sticking to them, to ensure they become a habit.
I have been guilty of letting my blog posting schedule slip badly, and I am conscious that any new traffic coming to my blog will see that there has been no updates for a while, and will move on to the next one.

I really need to get better at writing and scheduling my blog posts, and other areas of my business need a shake up too.
It is often said that if you force your self to perform a new task every day for 30 days, it becomes a habit, and then it becomes second nature.

Example –

Think of starting a new regime of healthy eating, or perhaps giving up smoking – if you can get over the hardest part (the first 5 or 6 days) then keep focussed and push through the mental barriers and peer pressure and make it to 30 days. Then this imprint of new behaviour will take hold, and you will have a much better chance of succeeding.

Imagine where your business would be in 30 days if you committed to take action from today, and everyday on an important aspect of your business!

Example 2 – Imagine creating one short video or piece of written content on a subject in your niche, everyday.

At the end of 30 days, you would have more than enough content to release a brand new training product, or if you released the content to youtube or guest blogs or article sites, you would have 30 fresh lead magnets working for you and linking back to your money sites.

Its simple when broken down like this, but most people do not take action.

Check out this video from Google’s Matt Cutts, on the importance of taking action, and creating your own 30 Day Challenge

Let me know what you think about Matt’s video in the comments below, and what your challenges are.

  1. Hi Brian,

I’ve neglected my blog also, because of some personal challenges I had to defeat in 2014.
I like the idea of a 30 day challenge, and is something I will consider doing, but first I have to get back on track with my first product. I’ve neglected that too in 2014.

My challenges this year will be to complete my first product, and start on a second one. Also I need to spend more time on writing content for my blog (30 day challenge? maybe).
Another goal I want to set for myself is to grow a substantial list that will generate enough income so that I can reinvest into my Internet Marketing venture, hence making more money in the long run.

I did like the video. It is worth considering doing 30 day challenges to complete your goals.

    1. Hi Frank,
      Glad you could pop by.
I like the idea of small micro commitments that can build up and become unstoppable. Imagine if you could start by grabbing just 5 new subscribers everyday for 30 days. That’s 150 new chances to make a sale.
      Best wishes

  2. I really enjoyed this article. It gave me quite a bit to think about. I think a 30 day challenge ca really help me. Usually when I set my goals, I think of goals with my business. But a 30 day challenge can help me set goals outside of my business… such as read a chapter in my Bible every day. That’s a more concrete goal that I can set in my mind instead of “read the bible every day”. I’ve got to try this with more functions in my life. Thnx

  3. Hi Brian,

Great post and one that is very close to what I am doing right now!

I am on a personal challenge to comment on all the blogs on P2S which I have a list of 155 and I want to complete this by 22nd of March 15, so remember that date and please feel free to visit my blog and return the comment 🙂

I would to get this done sooner but making it a habit over the next 30+ could be the key as you say in blog.

I also need to start creating video’s which I think will be my next challenge, thanks for the inspiration Brian.

    Paul 🙂
